Counsel Compass is built in line with the Serbian Personal Data Protection Law (ZZPL) and the GDPR (the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation). Mental health is a special category of personal data, so we treat it with the level of care that requires.
- EU hosting (important for the GDPR because it avoids risky transfers of personal data outside the European Union to countries with weaker privacy protection)
- TLS 1.2+ for all communication, AES-256 for data in the database
- Passwords protected with bcrypt hashing + salt
- Every data access is recorded (audit log)
- You own your data, with full export and one-click deletion available
- Counsel Compass staff have no access to your clients’ data

Counsel Compass Connect is a public therapist directory at connect.thecounselcompass.com. Once you switch your profile on, clients find you by area of work, language and price, see your free slots and book without calls or messaging back and forth. The profile is optional and included in your subscription.
- Switch your presence on Connect on or off at any time
- Profiles are reviewed before publishing; only approved profiles go public
- Clients pick from your free slots, from the calendar you set up in the app
- Filters: area of work, language, country, price, online or in person, client age group
