Cookie Policy

Note: This is a working draft (v0). The final version will be published after review by a qualified attorney before 2026-06-15 (launch day).

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit it. They help the website recognise you and remember your preferences between visits.

2. Which cookies we use

The Counsel Compass marketing website (thecounselcompass.com) uses the minimum of cookies - only those necessary for basic functionality:

  • Session (functional, non-traceable) - necessary for the website to work

We do not use: third-party tracking cookies, advertising cookies or social media tracking pixels.

3. Your choice

Since we use only necessary cookies, you do not need to give separate consent (per GDPR Art. 7 and ZZPL).

If you want additional control, you can delete or block all cookies through your browser settings. Please note that blocking the session cookie may affect functionality.

4. Analytics

For web analytics we use Cloudflare Web Analytics (cloudflare.com/web-analytics) - a privacy-friendly tool that does not use cookies, does not track individual visitors and does not use fingerprinting. We use aggregated statistics (number of visits, most viewed pages, traffic sources) to improve the website.

Cloudflare Web Analytics is GDPR-compliant by design and does not require a cookie banner or explicit consent. Privacy details are available at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

5. Changes

If in the future we introduce additional cookies or analytics tools that require consent, we will display a cookie banner and ask for your explicit opt-in before activating them.
